Resetting Dualsense Connection Order

Tech Support

I always wanted my new PS5 Pro to be device 1, but that was my old launch PS5. As I was seeking a guide and couldn't find one, and now know the solution, I want to share it with you.

You need at least two controllers, or it could also work with remote play (I didn't test that, though).

So, to begin, go into settings > Accessories > Bluetooth Accessories and forget all DualSenses.

Now you still need one connected as you need to select the new controller.

So now take your unconnected controller and press PS + Triangle for about 10 seconds until it flashes fast. Note: when pressed briefly, it also flashes, but not faster.

Now, under Bluetooth Accessories, in "found accessories," just select the new DualSense controller and pair it again. Like you would with a new controller without a cable. Note: I tried connecting with a cable to get a new order, but that didn't work.

Now it connects as #1.
