what clothes should i buy for the rain & snow??

im thinking about going to syracuse but i come from california so i have no appropriate clothing for the cold!! i have a lot of questions...

what types of jackets do you wear most often during winter??

does anyone actually wear winter boots?

do i actually need super heavy winter clothing or can i get by in a sweater and a scarf?

also, i like dressing feminine, if you have any specific fashion tips for staying warm and looking cute lmk!!
