I (24F) don’t know if I can get over my boyfriends (27M) lies he told me when we first started dating. Do I talk to him about it?
I’ve been dating my boyfriend now for almost a year and I can’t seem to ignore all the white lies he told me when we first started dating. He first had told me he lived alone and about 3 months into dating he “moved back in with his parents”. He also told me he has 2 warehouses for work and come to find out he only has one and it’s not where he said it was. He also won’t tell me exactly what his dad does and I have a feeling he is a private driver as I see the taxi sticker on his dad’s car. Obviously there’s nothing wrong w this but why won’t he tell me? When we first met he had also told me he bought a vintage car that was at the shop and he recently admitted to me he doesn’t have it. It feels as though he wanted to impress me when we first started dating but I can’t help to think that if he lied about that what else is he lying to me about? I also was in a toxic relationship before him so I am always thinking of worst case scenario. I’m not sure if I should bring it up to him as it’s been almost a year now. I really love him and he has treated me like the most special girl in the world but when I think about him lying it makes me feel gross. I haven’t had any other inklings of him lying except for when we first started dating. Thoughts and advice on if/how I should bring it up to him would be greatly appreciated.
