Need advice

I (20F) met this guy (19M) 3 days ago and we had an instant connection. We’ve seen each other every day since we met and even took my virginity. He’s so touchy with me in soft romantic ways and will kiss my forehead all the time etc which seems like mixed signals. He told me he got out of a 10 month long relationship in December and he’s not ready to be in a relationship. I told him I like him a lot and that he makes me happy (not even with the intention of starting a relationship, but just expressing my feelings) and in response he basically just said (along these lines) “don’t like me too much, just like me a moderate amount.” I told him that it is a moderate amount but I couldn’t help but feel kind of heartbroken when he said that. I’ve told all of my friends about him and the time we’ve spent together in detail and they all think that he really does likes me and maybe this will be a slowburn and he just doesn’t want things to go too fast, but I just need to hear opinions from Reddit. I really struggle to trust people romantically and I am just so afraid of getting my heart broken.
