Healthy breakup, what if I break no contact?
My boyfriend and I broke up a week ago. He's jw and I'm Catholic so his parents got really mad and told him to break it off. Us, alone, though we are never perfect, we love and care for each other so much. Literally though. We've been together for just 9 months but since we have problems with regards to his parents, those 9 months were super hard for the both of us but we fought everything together. But his jw friend snitched on him and that led to our unwanted breakup. We spent a whole day together as our last day where we just cried and hugged and comforted each other. I am secured enough to say he loves me very much and I do too. He's gonna get a job soon and I'm gonna enter college. I'm thinking if it is okay for us to not stay no contact? Like for special occasions and all. Or is it not a good idea?
Like will it just degrade our healthy relationship into a casual acquaintance status? I really hope that when we have our resources in the future, we could finally choose what we want and not rely on the words of our parents, especially his.
