How do I make a fibreglass statue-what’s the final coating?

I want to make some fun playground statues, like you see at zoos or old McDonalds restaurants, but I don’t know what the final coating is. It’s very thick and weatherproof and seems UV proof. Also how are they usually tethered/bolted? Are there standards for playground statues? Thanks!!!
