Nashville TV series - S4 E3 onwards

For context - I'm in the UK and was watching from S1 until S4 e2 - when Channel 5 pulled it a few months ago

It's now on ITV X - so I've resumed watching, but...

You know sometimes when you watch a long running series that you used to enjoy after a gap...and it doesn't seem as good as you remember it was?

Or - is Series 4 and onwards actually inferior to the first three series?
