Individually Sharing WiFi Cameras on NVR

Wi-Fi Wired Camera Questions

Hey all,

Running a 10+ camera setup on a Reolink NVR (Reolink RLN36). Most of my cameras are PoE connected through a switch, and those work great — I can add them as standalone devices and share specific cameras with family members without giving full NVR access.

The issue comes with my WiFi cameras (video doorbell + Atlas PT Ultra). Once I added them to the NVR, they basically got “absorbed” and I lost their standalone UID in the app. Now they only show up as NVR channels, so I can’t share them individually anymore.

Tried adding via IP instead of auto add, but it still seems like the NVR eventually binds them and removes standalone access.

Questions:

  • Is there any way to keep WiFi cameras both on the NVR (for recording/monitor view) AND as standalone devices for individual sharing?
  • Or is this just a limitation with Reolink where WiFi cams get fully tied to the NVR?
  • Any clean workaround for this?

Appreciate any insight — trying to keep the flexibility I have with my PoE cams.
