I’m losing my faith in Christ
So recently Ive been going through a tough time in my life. I’m 16 and I’ve never really questioned my faith in Christ and if I have it was subtle but I never really thought that Jesus did not die for are sins. Now as I’m getting older and hearing different opinions and perspectives I really am struggling especially reading into some philosophy or listen to it I don’t understand why I’m even Christian but each time I think through it, well... it always comes down to one thing. The fear of Hell, the fear that I’ll be left behind and thrown into eternal punishment for not believing. Recently though like I said I’ve had a rough time and I think maybe I’m starting to have more apathy for, well almost everything except this thought. I feel like I’m trapped in the small town I’m in and that the pressures and feeling of being stuck in a a faith makes it worse I want spiritual and physical freedom. Also I feel as if the church has become more political than even spiritual , like it’s just a church full of gossip and hate. as well as so much condemning and sooo many rules. I personally am tired of all the hate in politics and in the media. I just really really want to step back from it all, but again the fear of Hell and being a failure as Gods supposed great creation is to much for me to completely step back from my faith. I really just wanted to ask for thoughts maybe advice?
