So after thorough planning and decision making I set out for this solo ride. If i were to describe this trip in a few words it would be - A ride filled with all kinds of emotions and experiences.

Below is a brief overview of how my ride looked like;

**Reaching Mumbai**

Day 1 (BLR-Kohlapur) 640ish kms

It started off as exciting and slowly turned into boredom topped with exhaustion because of the heat. But totally enjoyed it. No problems with the bike or anything.

Day 2 (Kohlapur-Mahabaleshwar-Mumbai) 400ish kms

This was what I was excited for and the views totally paid off the Day 1 highway slogging haha. The heat caused a bit of exhaustion but it was manageable with hydration and rest.

**Returning to BLR from Mumbai**

Day 1 (Mumbai-Davangere) 740ish kms

This was my best in terms of distance covered and boy was it something. This day was filled with so many challenging and fun events. I had to pay a bribe to a police officer of 1.5K in order to avoid paying a fine of 3.2K for riding on the expressway to Lonavla (where bikes are not allowed). My bungee cord loosened and got snapped by getting stuck in the brake caliper area. It was my fault since I hadn’t fastened it properly it was more of a simple knot to make sure the cover of the luggage doesn’t fly away (the luggage was fastened really well). 60kms to Davangere, there was a storm which was INSANE. Mad crosswinds, lightning and rain. It was right out of a movie and I was scared shitless since I already faced the above 2 issues so I didn’t want anything more to go bad lol. However, I reached safely after riding for 16 non stop hours (including breaks).

Day 2 (Davangere-BLR) 280ish kms

This was the BEST ride of the trip. Pleasant weather, slow music and open roads. It was the perfect end to a brand new experience which made me fall more in love with riding. And the bike itself is a beast and can take anything you throw at it.

Also I did a bit if riding around marine drive hence the last pic shows 2,196kms. The actual trip was around 2,080kms.

TL;DR: 2,080 km solo ride from Bangalore to Mumbai and back — started with boring but exhausting highway kms, peaked with the beautiful Mahabaleshwar stretch, then turned into a full-on adventure on the return with a cop bribe, snapped bungee cord, and a terrifying storm ride, before ending with the most peaceful and perfect final stretch back to Bangalore.

Overall: equal parts chaos, challenge, fear, beauty, and pure love for riding.
