Looking for recommendations

Looking for recommendations for an MMO to play. long time fan of the MMO genre, I've dipped in and out of a lot of different games over the years. FFXIV was my main game until about last year when DT didn't it for me and I got tired of the pointless gear treadmill with copy paste dungeons. Haven't found anything click since then.

Things I like:

1. Story or at least interesting world building with lore I can get to know.

2. PvE content - open world exploration, dungeons, raids etc. I enjoy difficult endgame pve content.

3. A game that has decent depth for character builds

4. I'm happy to play solo, love the leveling experience in most mmos but endgame I enjoy multiplayer cooperative content mostly.

Things I don't like:

1. PvP - never really does it for me, not interested.

2. Endless gear grinds that don't actually lead to any challenging content and are seemingly just for the sake of gear grinds.

Besides FFXIV, games I've played in the past for significant time in the past include GW2, SWTOR, WoW, Warframe, New World, Secret World, Wild Star...and various other more obscure ones.

Considering returning to WoW...but it seems so dated nowadays. Also thinking about giving BDO another try but it never grabs me for long. Tried ESO but also can't really get hooked either.

Any suggestions/recommendations for something to try out?
