Inspired by u/goddess_peeler's work, I created a "VACE Transition Builder" node.
u/goddess_peeler shared a great workflow he did yesterday. It allows entering the path to a folder and having all the clips stitched together using VACE.
This works amazingly well and thought of converting it into a node instead.
I've added the option of browsing for clips with a custom UI (same I used for another node). Either in the input or output folder. You can then re-order them, turn them off or deleted them. Mousing over them will play them as thumbnail, so you can see which is which.
The Options node is not mandatory, it will use defaults settings (The same from the workflow) if not connected. I'm thinking of also adding option to change default values in preferences, making the need for the options node even less necessary.
The Transition clips are generated in the temp folder, and can all be deleted with the delete button. Existing transitions will not be overwritten. So one could go in temp and delete only the bad transitions and hit generate again for new results. Obviously, if you turn off clips or change the order, all new transitions will be needed.
You can find this node here
Hats off again to goddess_peeler for a great solution!
I'm still unsure about the name though..
I hesitated between this or VACE Stitcher... any preference? 😅
Do note, this is fresh off the press...
Could perhaps still have a bug or two I haven't run into yet.
