Tips on making backing tracks?
I'm getting a seaboard rise hopefully this coming may, and I'm thinking the best way to get used to it, is to play and record over some backing tracks. Which brings up the question, how can I make a good backing track? my current ideas is that it has a simple repeating phrase, and some good rhythm section. But I'm no good at making unique drum loops. Normally I just set one 2 measure drum loop to go through my entire music which gets old.
Do you guys have any tips for composing backing tracks?
