Finding Winning Products/ Brands
Not sure if this will help anyone but just want to document a little bit about my ecommerce journey and the information that I've come to realize after testing and, mostly, failing at dropshipping and ecommerce.
-
First dropshipping products were a battery charger & a pimple vacuum. I'm sure you guys have seen those if you've been around for awhile. (ads were rejected, so I said yeah this ain't for me)
-
It all started with Amazon Seller Account & Reseller (had something good going but banned lost $100k buying a load of inventory)
-
Started really dropshipping and testing 1-2 products per day for an entire month or 2.
almost quite. My last product hit, it was in the jewelry niche. Made about 40K-50K Net profit and never mad a single dollar more. Ads fatigue and everything went to dump. -
Made an entire modern jewelry brand. failed, wasn't profitable, quite.
-
Currently testing products and something clicked, I guess through experience now things are finally starting to get good. God is always on your side as long as you are consistent.
Couple things I've realized, maybe it'll help a person or two:
-
If you're going to create a brand, go all out with the design but it doesn't mean you have to sell 50 products at a time. Most recommended is to start with 1 good Hero product. and when I say all out I also mean investing in UGC and also the organic approach, good IG, website, pages, etc... you can't have a halfaz brand. it's either a brand or it's not.
-
If you're going to dropship, find products that are WORKING for others and test test test.
The model sucks but it is what it is. Also there are two types of products that sell from my experience. -
New WOW products that give the emotion of: I need this, this is nice (I don't actually need it, I just think it looks so cool)
-
Products that solve a problem: It's easier to advertise products that solve a problem. By problem I mean triggering the prospect EMOTIONALLY: I can't sleep, I might need those sleeping pills... let me get them whatever.
-
You need to move fast in this businesses. I move fast. Tiktok has all the good products.
-
Work, Pray, Work, maybe cry in between, if you're going to give up do it for a day, sleep, pray, then get back to Work, work, work ,pray, and Work.
-
Don't over complicate anything. Don't focus on having the nicest website. I can make a product listing in less than 2 hours. Don't stress it and use Ai as much as possible for images and Copywrite. Move fast and don't waist time on things that don't make you money. Focus on finding products and testing them. Rinse and repeat. You need to lose money .
-
If you launched ads and product is not profitable after $50-$100, cut it Lose. Unless your products is super high ticket. which it probably isn't if you're starting.
-
Meta ads don't over complicate and don't touch shit too much in 1 day. 1-2 switch per day. Every time you edit something in your ad account it pauses everything for a good hour or 2 and it resets as 12 AM. this is why gurus recommend starting ads at 12am. Idgaf I'll start a $200 new Campaign at 3pm. but I know it won't perform very well. It usually steals $35-$50 from me before it starts working. Then at 12am it resets again and starts working the way it's supposed to.
-
ONE Campaign per Product. ONE Campaign per location. One Broad Adset. 3,5,10,20 ADS. Doesn't matter, depends on your BUDGET. $100 for 1 Campaign? ok have 3-5 ads. No biggie
-
Once you see a winner in ad creatives. duplicate all of your winning AD CREATIVES into ONE NEW CAMPAIGN. keep the others running still. So note: 1 campaign for ONLY winning creatives.
-
If an AD CREATIVE is spending too much and not converting. turn the fker off. Meta spent $8 of an add that converted twice. and $30 on an ad that didn't. I turned $30 OFF. and added new ads.

Pray

Copy what others are doing and replicate it.
