Been Testing a New Expedition Hunting Pack — Looking for Honest Feedback
Hey guys,
I’ve been running backcountry hunts for a while, and recently started working with a pack system called SIATREX APEX 5000. Instead of just treating it as a “gear dump,” I’ve been putting it through actual use scenarios to see how it performs in the field.
What stood out to me so far is the modular setup. The frame has an adjustable torso system, which helps dial in the fit depending on body size and load. The load carry feels more stable once properly adjusted, especially for heavier hauls.
Another thing I’ve been testing is the integrated weapon carry setup. You can run it in different configurations depending on your preference, which is useful if you switch between rifle and bow. The quick-release setup is designed for fast access without having to fully remove the pack.
The hydration setup is also not limited to just one option — there are multiple ways to carry and access water depending on how you configure the pack (main bag, lid, or load-haul setup).
I’m still in the process of testing it across different terrains and loadouts, and I’d genuinely like to hear from others who have experience with similar systems:
- Do you prefer integrated carry systems or separate attachments?
- How important is torso adjustability in your setup?
- Any features you consider must-have for a true expedition pack?
Also, we’re open to sending out a few units for people willing to give honest feedback, especially from those who actually put their gear to work in the field.
Appreciate any thoughts or critiques 👍
