Daughter with autism asked me for weed

Hi all!

Earlier today my daughter, 19 and diagnosed with autism (and other disorders) asked me if I could get her weed. I've suspected that she smokes for awhile now, but chose not to bring it up with her, so I wasn't very surprised at the confirmation.

The reason I'm asking this here is because I asked her why she wanted weed. She told me that when she is extremely overstimulated, unable to socially function, or in autistic burnout, weed has helped her overcome them. I'm not opposed to weed, I myself have done it multiple times, and she is legally allowed to so I'm assuming whatever my answer is, she'll get weed either way.

The main thing I want to know is if anyone here felt what she described from her experience with weed? Does weed actually help with autism symptoms? (I understand that this likely won't apply to everyone)
