[PC][2000s] Small windowed card-like program with a voice saying “Hey, better try again” when you lose

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to figure this out for years and I’ve never found an answer. This is one of those childhood memories that keeps coming back and bothering me.

This was around 2008–2009, on a Windows XP or Vista computer.

I’m not even sure if it was a proper game. It was something I found while browsing through files on my brother’s computer.

What I remember the most, and this is the key part, is a character that would say a very specific line:

“Hey, better try again”

It had a female, cartoon-like voice, and it almost sounded sing-song, like the line had a little melody to it. That’s the part I remember the clearest.

The character looked like a small brown cartoon animal (in my head something like a squirrel, but I’m not 100% sure).

About the program itself:

- It opened in a small window, not full screen

- The interface had green tones

- I’m pretty sure there were square/card-like elements that you could click

- Every time I failed, the character would say that same line again

I even remember clicking things wrong on purpose just to hear that voice say it again.

Also, since I’m from Brazil and was very young at the time, I didn’t really understand what I was supposed to do. I just kept clicking randomly and assumed it was some kind of kids’ game because of the character and the voice, but I could never actually progress or “win” anything. I mostly just kept opening it and interacting with it over and over again.

It didn’t feel like a full game, more like a very simple card-like interaction or small program.

Does anyone recognize this?
