Tier list provided. I like smart, non-edgy protaganists. I like straightforward systems that aid the story. I like slice-of-life in small doses, i.e. interesting side characters that ground the story but don't take it over. I want consistent plot progress and a story that stays on track, not significantly changing genres or pacing after a few books. I like romance when done well (and not taking over the book / trending towards harem). I'll do any gender or sexuality of character.
