windowrule for "hover" elements in edge and electron that cause page flickering?

hi,

not sure how to describe best, but I see a consistent behaviour with edge on hyprland (and yes, i need to unfortunately use edge due to some work related topics):

When there are elements which have a "hover" layer (I assume using the standard HTML5 implementation), instead of showing that overlay there is a brief flickering in the whole browser window, resetting the page and scroll state.

It only happens on hyprland, not on other WMs. my assumption is that this is treated like a window and some rules would be needed to not interfere with those elements. it looks like right now they might tried to open fullscreen and then get closed immediatly.

anyone experienced something similar and has an idea?
