I had this mindset and it ruined my life

Seeking advice or support

So back when i was a kid i was seen as a smart kid, the one who's always fast to understand everything and score well in tests. I could read 100 pages a day as a 8 years old. My mind were crystal clear and thinking wasn't so much of a work. Around the time i was 9 tho i told myself "I don't actually have to spend this much brain power on trying to understand stuff, people around me don't seem to do that either, so the worst i can be is to get average result" and i started to keep choosing the lowest energy option possible.

Now 10 years has passed and i still can't get off the habit of keep being idle and choosing the least effort possible. My brain feels so foggy all the time and i spend considerable amount of time just staying in a daze. It's just felt so comfortable to stay in a daze and have my consciousness drift away but i realize I've get to the point where i can't have a single day where I'm actually present. I feel almost like I'm getting sedated. I don't feel the curiousity and interest to learn and understand stuff like i used to. It's like I've lost ability to see certain 'colors', it become even more frustrating because i know those missing 'colors' exist and i have once seen them. My life feels like it's just drifting around everyday. I wonder if anyone experienced this too and how do you guys live like how you used to..
