What habits can protect you from false AI accusations in school?
Lately I’ve been seeing more students get flagged by AI detectors even when they genuinely wrote their own work, and it’s honestly making me anxious about submitting assignments. I’m trying to be proactive and avoid that situation, but I’m not sure what habits actually make a difference. I’ve heard things like writing directly in Google Docs so there’s version history, keeping rough drafts or outlines, and not over-editing to the point where the writing sounds “too perfect,” but I don’t know how effective these really are. For those who’ve dealt with this before or managed to avoid being flagged, what do you actually do to protect yourself, and what kind of proof do teachers usually accept?
