Game running terrible on new SSD

ive recently hit the 100 hour mark on deadlock and have been loving it. had some stuttering issues when I first started playing and then realised I had my graphics set to ultra and switching them to medium fixed it.

I got a new SSD for games so naturally I redownloaded deadlock onto it. ever since the stuttering has come back and now the audio in game seems to be playing at random times after the triggers (e.g. I parry and dont hear the parry noise until like 5 - 20 seconds later) sometimes the game also just goes completely silent or only plays certain sounds at all.

has anyone else had these issues? my settings are on medium and the new drive has 1.64 tb of space left.
