Drying out wet clothes

Hiya, I've recently been away to some snowy and cold locations, and one of the challenges I faced was drying out wet clothes. I know I can't avoid getting wet and I'm fine with that but I just can't figure out how to dry out the insides of my boots for example?

I've been lucky enough that both times that I've been away I've found varying shelters and managed to dry items out to varying degrees but I know in the future I'll not be so lucky. I'll end up in my sleeping bag knowing I've got frozen/ cold/wet boots to put on in the morning and I want to keep all of my toes y'know?

I use synthetic and merino wool for my layers.

Any advice?
