Transfers for Cognitive Science(UCSD)

I currently go to a csu but will be taking a year leave of absence or withdrawing to get ccc priority for the upcoming application cycle. I had some questions for current cognitive science students at sd, such as
What college is best to put on the app/If I have igetc completed, will I have to do the college specific ges?

Did you complete linear algebra, as my cc requires me to take calc 3/4 as a requisite, which I likely won't be able to complete in time. (Will have all other )

How the major actually is there(ML specifically) and pros/cons to it.
