Feels like heresy to say this but do the Eisenhorn books get...not boring?

Listening through Audible on my commute to and from work, as well as at the gym. I'm about 5 chapters in and it's just not "grabbing my brain" can't even remember what happened 1 chapter prior, basically in one ear out the other.

I know the Eisenhorn Omnibus is arguably the best 40K books, so I wanna give this a fair shot, but for lack of a better term "I am straightup not having a good time bro".
