i need c.ai devs to read this.
TLDR: just a rant on how c.ai devs need to do better.
it’s so late at night, but i can’t help but genuinely have this on my mind. because there is no way an app that has such a brilliant concept be driven down the drain like this. i should’ve known that ever since the disney cease and desist that bs was going to go down, but let me cook here y’all.
first of all, i wanna address how slowly the app is starting to burn down. for an app that strives for the best quality and valuing feedback from its consumers, you certainly *don’t* do anything like that at all. when you promised us that ads wouldn’t be in between chats, suddenly it’s implemented in the name of “keeping the lights on.” when you said you would do better in upping the quality in chats, it progressively gets worse by the update.
when pipsqueak was (admittedly, unannounced at the time) introduced to the app, this chat style was used to make roleplays better. after formally announcing it, the quality of the chat style has completely wiped out. now, it’s coming up with corny fanfic slop that’s been outdated since 2012.
you guys say you value our feedback and appreciate criticism of the app, but what do you do to address it directly other than blatantly ignoring your consumers ? we submit tickets and it takes nearly 4-6 weeks to get back to you. when we talk about how bad the repetitive chats are, the thumbs up/down + feedback buttons do absolutely NOTHING to change it. we address memory problems, you say to be c.ai+ for better memory, but even paying members are experiencing issues with that.
you also add unnecessary things that consumers don’t ask for (i.e. charms, imagines, etc) in order to try to make the app “better,” all for what ?
not to mention, it’s quite literally becoming impossible to use the app as a free player. limiting swipes (which is a basic feature on the app) was already the straw that broke a LOT of camels’ backs. it’s getting to the point where even your c.ai+ users are experiencing the exact same problem. paying damn near $10 a month for the exact same problems free2play users are experiencing.
devs, you are going to *lose* your people if you don’t pay attention. i get that we’re not going to have the exact same app we had back in 2023 where everything was sunshine and rainbows. people understand changes need to be made, and that’s completely okay.
the issue is where your consumers are asking you to address something, you ignore it or hide a solution behind a paywall. i’m not even trying to be dramatic lmao, but a downfall is at your doorstep the more you decide to value profit than community.
y’all have to do better. this app is about to meet a terrible fate soon if you don’t get it together.
