These Things I Hope and Pray For You

*This poem is based on my truest hopes for some people I know*

As I hope for better for the two of us

I cannot help but hope and truly care

To know that more peace will fill your spirit

Heart and Mind

That a beacon of light from beyond the stars

Will grow a little more each day and guide your way

That every tear you shed will be toward healing

That you will believe in yourself

And even find faith to believe in something

Bigger than science

Infinitely more powerful than earthly mortal limitations

Divine power to carry you through the hardest times

When you are lost in pain or sorrow

Difficulty and don't know the way

I pray you have strength to keep going

To keep pressing on

That your journey be filled with more beauty

And success that will help you to achieve your dreams

A success measured by how you define it

Not perfection

But more joy and peace

May you have someone to hold you when you need it the most

Someone to listen when you feel alone, misunderstood, of in times of suffering

Someone to be there in times of joy

That you not only know what it is to be loved

But also to know how to love

May kindness be ever present on your path

May you be protected

I hope for all these things and more

That your cup will overflow with goodness and

abundance and blessings

Not only for you, but for those you love

For these things I pray for others

And some of these things for my loved ones

But truly every day
