Experiences with adult palette expansion?

hey everyone! I am seeing a myofunctional therapist for my first evaluation next week, as I recently found out I have a tongue tie that I'd love to get released. however, I also believe I have too narrow of a palette for the tongue tie to be released without expansion of the palette.

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with a MARPE/MASPE expander. I've read and watched so many posts and videos of people's experiences, but have yet to find anyone with eds who has detailed their experience. I'm pretty freaked out about the placement process and potential pain (braces were the worst for me as a kid, 8 years and for noooothing bc of COURSE all my teeth moved right back).

If it opens my airway and helps my sleep and general quality of life, I wanna do it. but I'd love to hear from anyone with eds how the experience is/was for you!
