13 Pro Max is a Tank

Purchased a used 13 PM back in May '24 as my new EV only supported Car Play at the time. The last time I had really used an iPhone was with the 7 Plus and 6S Plus back in 2018 over a period of about 8 months, and prior to that was the iPhone 4.

My plan was to either switch back to Android when my car added support, or purchase the 17 which was rumoured to get a 120 Hz display. Almost 2 years on, my car supports Android Auto and the 17 has a 120 Hz display, but man I just cannot justify upgrading as my 13 PM is still so good!

I regularly have far better battery performance than my partner's 15 PM and I have yet to notice any slow downs, and I'm still getting iOS updates until at least 2028. The lightning connector is the only real gripe, but even then I use a magsafe charger and I have a wireless charger in my car so practically speaking there would be no difference with how I charged it in 95% of circumstances.

As someone who spent over a decade almost exclusively on Android, I have seen so many great changes to iOS.
