SIPing ₹5K/month into debt funds for "stability."

Question

Equity NAVs are volatile — they swing a lot. SIP works because you buy at different prices and average your cost. That's the entire point of rupee cost averaging.

Debt fund NAVs move in a near-straight line upward — 0.02% per day, every day. There's nothing to "average." Whether you buy today or 5 years from now, the NAV just keeps climbing steadily. No dips to exploit. No volatility to smooth out.

So the thought came to my mind that SIP in debt = paying the same price every month with no averaging benefit. You could achieve the same result with a lump sum later.

So is it beneficial to do SIP in debt fund at early phase of investment or just divert these SIP amount to some other ongoing SIP like flexi cap or small cap or mid cap?
