Leveraging AI for Business Newsletters

I've been in content creation for over a decade, and one recurring theme I see with small and medium-sized businesses is their struggle to fully leverage their existing customer data. Many accumulate contact information like emails and names but do very little with it. It’s like having a tool in your toolbox but never taking it out to actually use it.

With the rise of AI-assisted newsletter ghostwriting, there's a real opportunity for these businesses to re-engage their customers. Imagine if a local heating and cooling company used a targeted email campaign not just for seasonal promotions but also to share maintenance tips, reminders for service checks, or exclusive discounts. This kind of tailored communication can really drive repeat business.

However, I do wonder about the balance here. While AI can automate much of the writing process, it’s crucial for businesses to retain a personal touch that resonates with their audience. It can’t be purely robotic; there has to be a semblance of genuine communication behind these emails.

For those who have tried this approach, how did it work out for you? Did you notice a positive change in customer engagement? What strategies did you find most effective?
