figured i-d share some info if you-re headed to see the mavs play the wolves on 03/30. parking at the american airlines center is always a huge headache especially for a big matchup like this since victory park gets so jammed up with traffic before tip-off.

honestly check out Prked first. it-s an app where you can rent driveways or private garage spots right next to american airlines center. it-s way cheaper than the official lots and you skip the massive traffic lines because you-re not stuck in the main flow of the stadium garages. it-s a short walk and usually much easier to get in and out of after the final buzzer.

if you decide to go with the official options the lexus garage and lots a, e, and f are the closest ones to the entrances. expect to pay anywhere from 30 to 60 dollars for these spots depending on how close you are. the lexus garage is super convenient for getting into the building but it-s a nightmare to leave. it can easily take 45 minutes just to get out of the garage floor and onto the street after the game ends. lots a and k are surface lots that are slightly faster to exit but still very expensive.

there are some cheaper surface lots if you look south toward the west end or near the perot museum. these might save you 10 or 15 bucks but you-ll be walking about 10 to 15 minutes to the arena. watch out for the private lots near the house of blues area because they have very strict towing policies if you don-t pay the right machine or if you stay past your time.

taking the dart is a solid backup if you want to avoid driving altogether. the green and orange lines stop at victory station which is right at the arena doors. it saves you the stress of driving on i-35e or the dallas north tollway which will both be a mess starting around 5:30 pm on 03/30. the construction near the woodall rodgers interchange usually makes things even slower so give yourself plenty of extra time. if you are driving try to arrive in the victory park area by 6:00 pm to find a spot and avoid the worst of the pre-game rush.
