Kilegros
Kilegros woke up in the same dimension he’d seen the spirit in before. He growled in annoyance and sat up from the ground before he glanced around to try and spot the spirit.
“Show yourself!” He yelled out in heated anger, jumping to his feet and spinning around the empty white space.
“Tone, mortal.” The black figure rose up from the white nothingness of the ground, looming over him menacingly.
“How am I supposed to kill the Son?! He killed me damn near immediately! Why should I even bother?! Why does his life and actions matter to me?!” He screamed out at the being, throwing his body around in hatred as he demanded details.
“Why do you think I won’t allow you to die? I know you are weak compared to him. My kin are very powerful, crafted from my own hands.” The figure hissed at him.
“He’s one of yours?!” Kilegros backed up and sounded horrified.
“Yes. How do you think beings as powerful as the Emperor’s children could arise? I’ve given you everything you need. He has chosen to fill his life with the pleasures of the world, gouging himself on anything that could bring one comfort. His misuse of power and the corruption formed in the Empire has violated the treaty made before myself and the Emperor.” Death hissed at Kilegros, deciding the mortal should have some knowledge bestowed upon him or he would likely run off to do his own bidding.
“Again: why would that matter to me?” Kilegros slowed down his words, each syllable shooting like a dagger as he glared at Death.
“Think about it, Kilegros. How many young Eonvym must be stripped of their parents? How many Humans must be born into slavery from a war not even caused by their forefathers? How many years must the Hydra remain shackled to Imperial ships to manage them? You have the opportunity now before you to take control, to kill the Son, to hurt the Emperor, to change the course of history. Is control of your fate not what you want?” Death selected her words carefully, speaking to Kilegros’ desires while only giving him half-truths.
“You’re lucky this mission lines up with my want to hurt the Empire. If it wasn’t, maybe I wouldn’t be agreeing.” Kilegros stepped back and crossed his arms as the world began to close around him once more.
Kilegros woke up with the light of one of the ships in his face, staring into the white light for a moment as he regained feeling of his body. He groaned softly and reached his visor, feeling all the cracks and splinters of it.
“Feels like I’m hung over. .” He groaned softly as his ears heard a soft ringing while he slowly looked around his surroundings.
Kilegros’ eyes laid upon the silver guard from the parade holding Fictillis up by her icy blade. His pupils dilated for a moment as he grabbed onto a pipe and pulled himself to the hull, beginning to run at them, building up speed as he was a good distance away. Instinctively, he began to build up static around him, shocking the ground as he touched it while white smoke began to float off his suit. Once he was close, nearly a second later, he pulled his hand back and shot it into the cheek area of the guard’s visor, sending her crashing into the hull right after she had kicked Fictillis away. Kilegros winced as he fell to the ground and his headache grew worse, making him struggle to get up but his adrenaline was too much, forcing him to ignore the pain. He looked at the guard, failing to resist his hate and kicked her hard across the face while turning to see Fictillis body flying away.
“Shit.” He growled to himself before kicking off the hull to go after his comrade.
Kilegros watched as frozen drops of blood smacked against him, Fictillis’ blood. He grabbed onto them and threw them behind himself, using them to give himself some more velocity as he slowly grew closer to Fictillis. Kilegros then held his hands out and little strands of electricity shot out to the body, grabbing hold of it and pulling Fictillis to Kilegros.
“I got you! I got you!” He yelled out as he looked down at the body, seeing Fictillis’ shocked eyes still holding life through the now transparent visor.
Only a soft groaning noise came from Fictillis as Kilegros began to build up a lot more static energy as he held onto Fictillis.
“Stay with me! You’ll get through this!” Kilegros assured his friend as he kept building up energy until the world around them shimmered, turning a bright mix of white and black as the world seemed to fast forward around them until then fell into the metal ground of the bridge of the ship.
Kilegros sighed in relief for a moment before he looked up and saw an imperial soldier thrusting his rifle stock into his face. Kilegros caught the stock of a rifle being sent to his face and easily moved it aside to stare into the soldier’s visor, more anger building.
“You’ve really fucked up now.” He growled threateningly.
The Eonvym shot a sharp blade of ice into the soldier’s stomach, jumping up and grabbing another soldier, spiking her into the floor and crushing her rib cage and spine with a swift stomp of his left foot. He held his hands out to the third soldier, lightning spilling across the ground and electrocuting the soldier, the man screaming in terror and pain till he was a charred corpse. Finally, Kilegros grabbed the last soldier who tried to run, pulling her back by her head as he gripped her torso with his other hand, pulling hard until he pulled her head and spine out of her body, a sickening popping sound coming from each vertebrae popping off of her rib cage as blood spilled across the bridge. He threw the body parts to the side and got down to inspect Fictillis. Upon seeing his friend still breathing, he grabbed his stump for an arm and started shocking it, cauterizing the wound as he began to burn his stab wound on his chest together, feeling around his organs with small bits of electricity and luckily finding nothing seriously injured. Fictillis could only groan in pain as he was treated for his injuries.
Kilegros ran over to the captain seat and swiped away all of Tobias’ robot junk, trying to find physical controls for the ship.
“Dammit Tobias you robotic piece of shit!” He cussed the Hydra out while hoping he and the Captain were still on the ship, or alive at least.
He found the controls under piles of wires and metal contraptions. The controls were written in an old human language and he began pressing them at random, a monotone voice playing out for him. “Cloaking engaged.” He smiled and kept that light from the button on as he pressed another. “Self-destruct in t-minus-” He shook his head and pressed that button again, turning the self-destruct off as he pressed a new button. “Engines engaged.”
“Yes!” Kilegros cheered quietly as the ship began to move, being nearly untraceable by the other Imperial ships. He let the ship go straight as he jumped away from the captain's chair and ran back to Fictillis.
“You alright?” He asked worriedly while checking over all of his wounds to see if he was still bleeding.
Fictillis slowly nodded with his eyes closed, his breathing still quite shallow but he was breathing.
“I don’t know where the other two are. If they stuck to the plan, they’re on the ship. If they didn’t, they’re either dead or captured. I think it’s best we wait here for them; I don’t know about you, but I need some rest after that.” Kilegros sighed and sat down against the table, his mind now starting to catch up with his actions and he began to count the lives he just took as his body began to relax.
An unknown amount of time later, Kilegros blinked awake to the sound of footsteps getting close to the bridge. He stood up slowly and summoned a small ice dagger in his hand while looking at the door that led to the bridge. The door slid open and Kilegros sliced the dagger across the air as he sent it through the door, embedding the dagger into someone.
Tobias walked forward and looked down at the dagger a few inches in his metallic chest. “Did you really think that could kill me?”
“You’re lucky it was you and not Ahri coming in first.” Kilegros spoke bitterly as Ahri stepped out from behind the robot.
“I am lucky I suppose.” She nodded in response before she swiftly ran over to Fictillis, Tobias following as the two were carrying some medical supplies from the cargo bay.
“You guys knew?” Kilegros wondered as he ran over with them to their fallen friend.
Tobias nodded and pointed at the cameras on the ceiling quickly as he pried Fictillis out of his suit, this being one of the few occasions Shaikyns could be acceptably seen out of their suits by others, and smaller robotic arms coming out of Tobias’ chest and holding medical equipment. Ahri took a large black box from Tobias and opened it up, exposing a weird amalgamation of parts and wires that resembled a den of spiders made by large tarantulas, their hardened legs sticking out of the sides with their red beady eyes all along the outside of their den. Kilegros questioned the machine in his head as Ahri took a smaller black box and clicked it in place against the machine, pushing it up against Fictillis’ stump, the machine reaching out and latching onto his arm, whirring and springing to life as the tarantula legs began to shoot forward and backwards along the box and smoke rose out from the machine.
Tobias started a mini saw up, it whirring to life as blood sprayed onto him while he cut into Fictillis’ disabled hand, cutting it off as the machine across from him continued to work quickly at repairing Fictillis.
“Stand back Kilegros.” Ahri warned as a chunk of flesh shot out of a new opening in the machine and the Eonvym, easily dodged.
“What the hell?” Kilegros murmured as Ahri pulled the machine off Fictillis’ arm and tossed it over to Tobias as he pressed it to Fictillis’ other wrist.
Where there was once a biological arm, now laid a robotic arm, fully operational and slightly moving as Fictillis had passed out from the pain. The arm was jet black like Tobias’ metal, the fingers long and sharply edged, and the hand had many little bits and pieces that pulled and moved slightly along it like tendons. Tobias started the machine on his wrist, the box building him another new hand quickly while Ahri turned to Kilegros.
“So that guy came back. Do you know where he went?” Ahri questioned quickly, crossing her front arms, trying her best to stay composed.
“No, I don’t. But I know he’ll chase us. He’ll chase me. We need to change course to Mars.” Kilegros crossed his arms as well and shook his head softly in shame.
“Mars? You saw what happened when we were in the middle of space! Now imagine what would happen if we went to the heart of the Empire!” Ahri spoke loudly as she raised her voice. “Going to Mars is a death sentence! Maybe not to you but it is to us!”
“Do you have a better idea? As long as we’re alive we will be hunted Ahri. We need to take the chance now to kill him. He won’t expect it.” Tobias spoke while setting the box down to the ground as Fictillis’ other robotic hand was finished.
“So, we should just go and all die huh? That’s how it’s gonna be?” Ahri growled at the Hydra while looking away from the group, trying to hold back tears as she thought over the past hour’s events.
“I’m afraid that’s our only option.” A new voice chimed in, Fictillis’.
Everyone turned back to look at him as he slowly sat up from the table and groaned, looking at his new hands and arm as he tried to flex his fingers, slowly curling the robotic bits into a fist.
“My handsome face wasn’t hurt, was it?” He looked at the group with a goofy smile as he stood up and walked slowly to Kilegros, his burned and haunted face still looking the same. “I will go with you Kilegros, I owe you my life, especially after trying to kill you so many times.”
“Thank you Fictillis. I apologize for what I’ve brought upon you, but we must kill the Son.” Kilegros grabbed Fictillis outstretched hand and shook it firmly, the two finally seeming to accept each other.
Ahri slammed her fist down on the round table of the bridge, soaking her palm into Eonvym blood as the holographic map of the solar system appeared in front of them. She zoomed far into the garden planet of Mars, as she blinked away tears.
“You all want to die?! Fine! Let’s go and die!” She pressed a few buttons on the underside of the table and set a course for the ship.
A few days later Kilegros was standing one of the airlocks of the ship, setting down the last of the imperial soldiers down on the ground. He stepped outside of the airlock and sealed the door shut before walking to the terminal in the wall. He pressed a few buttons on the ship, unsure of what they said as it was in an old human language. He reached above their terminal which was around normal height for him and gripped a handle, pulling it down and shooting all the bodies out into space.
“That’s the last of them.” He looked up at the ceiling and spoke out to Tobias.
“Good, only about 30 minutes till arrival. At least when this is over, they won’t have to look far for their dead friends.” Tobias spoke back through the speakers.
Kilegros nodded with a small chuckle and turned around, taking his cracked helmet off for a second to breathe. He took in the cold, now unfiltered air of the cargo bay while his mind raced.
“Why? Why do I even have to do this? Just because you told me to or just because I want to see them hurt? I could go and fly off into the universe. I can’t die. I can see everything. I can open my mind. I can do anything. Why should I go and kill him? Kill a. . . A god?”
Just as he finished speaking, an overwhelming urge to sleep overcame Kilegros and he toppled over to the ground, his eyes shutting immediately.
A vision came to him in his sleep, flashing images of a dark future with only a few of the images standing out. One of a blood red throne sitting on golden encased skeletons, small bodies, those of humans. On the throne was an Eonvym made of gold, relaxed with a golden chalice of red wine in his hand or what Kilegros hoped was wine. The second image showed a strange insect-like creature covered in a black exoskeleton, on its knees and reaching its hands up defensively as a Shaikyn soldier stood in front of them, swiping her sword at the creature's neck while flames burned around them on top of the bodies of the creature's friends or family. The third image was of a mighty Imperial ship floating before a star, its mighty main cannon firing into the star as the star slowly grew a deep red and expanded, about to go supernova. The final image was of a person clothed in a grey cloak standing in a field of wheat ready for harvest. The woman just stared at Kilegros as if her eyes, unable to be seen under the cloak, were seeing into his soul.
“That is what awaits your people should you not listen. The Empire shall expand and conquer, killing billions of species off and eat up the universe my Father has created. Kill him Kilegros, and I shall return you to her. Kill him and change the fate of everything.” A voice entered his ears before his body sprung to life and he sat up from the ground.
“You okay? Did you die again? Fall and hit your head?” Fictillis stood over Kilegros with his robotic arms crossed, teasing his fellow Eonvym.
“No, I did not die. I do not think so at least. I had another vision. I think I know why we must kill him now.” Kilegros stood up slowly, grabbing his helmet and putting it on, covering the loose blonde hair.
“Why’s that?” Tobias asked as he entered the cargo bay with Ahri, the ship close to its destination now.
“I saw a vision of a golden man on top of a throne on a pile of bodies.. Everything will all become the Empire’s and so many will die.” Kilegros walked over to the airlock to see out into the garden landscape.
“What’s so wrong with that?” Ahri questioned gloomily while the group followed Kilegros to see outside.
“Well, if he takes the universe, he will kill everything that is not Imperial. Maybe he’ll kill all normal Shaikyns too, then all that will be left is Eonvym to worship him as the Emperor.” Kilegros guessed as we watched the garden planet grow closer and closer, maybe a little too fast.
“Then I think that’s a pretty good reason to kill the son of the Emperor,” Tobias nodded as his hand moved, inverting itself into a rifle. “We’re already wanted dead or alive, so we might as well really do something to deserve it.”
“You think you can do magic Fictillis?” Kilegros looked back at him with concern, considering making Fictillis stay for his own safety.
“I’m not sure. I can kind of do stuff, but it feels. . Off.” Fictillis spoke honestly as he held his hand out, summoning a small flame as he did not boast about his power or strength for once.
“Take this then,” Kilegros slid the block of silver off his hip, handing it to his friend. “You’ll need it more than me.”
Fictillis gently took the silver block and pressed a button on the side, the block shifting into a sharp sword immediately. He analyzed the sword, noting the elegant edge and clean shape, definitely the weapon of royalty or an Imperial officer. He looked over to Kilegros as the sword shrunk back into a block and was connected to his hip.
“Thank you Kilegros.” Fictillis nodded to him as the ship shook violently, jerking to the side and throwing the group down as the sounds of sirens blared around them, some from the ship and some not.
“Shit! Tobias, where did you land us?” Ahri shouted as she rolled out of the way of a collapsing crate, bouncing to her feet and unholstering her weapon.
“Well, I doubt we would’ve made it from the docks to the palace, so I crashed us into the palace itself!” Tobias said in a seemingly happy tone as the airlock doors shot open while the ship started to slowly tilt, the group sliding towards the door.
Soon they were all cast into the golden halls of the palace while the ship above them rolled into a stable position. Kilegros gasped as he landed on his chest, slowly getting up to his feet as there was a surprised guard next to them, too shocked to speak or do much, raising his purely ceremonial golden spear a little to fight them.
Kilegros grit his teeth as he shot forward, summoning a sword of ice and easily deflecting the guards spear to the side before shoving it into his stomach and taking him to the ground. The others were up by now and Ahri sprinted over, getting down to her knees and gripped the guard’s neck.
“Where is the throne room?” She growled.
The guard didn’t answer at all, just looking at her through his visor with a blank expression as a green tint filled his visor, his body spasming and choking for air as he ended his life before they could get information out of him, choosing his honor instead of disloyalty.
“Bastard.” Ahri hissed and gripped the sides of his head, angrily slamming his head down on the ground while Kilegros got up off the soldier.
“Okay let’s go this way.” Kilegros motioned for the group to follow him as he started running down the golden hallway in random directions, hoping he got close to the throne room.
He stopped behind one of the many metallic gold walls as he heard boots running down the hall away from them. He looked over at the group and nodded to them before going around the corner to check if anyone was there. The group followed close behind, Tobias watching behind them as Kilegros saw the large golden blast doors that led to the throne room, surprisingly unguarded.
“In there.” Kilegros whispered to his comrades as he ran up to the door, putting his hands on each door and beginning to push, the door slowly opening with a loud rumbling sound around them, the sirens soon stopping.
“Well, here we go, let's try not to die alright?” Ahri sighed as the door reached a point where it just swung open widely, each half clashing into the walls on the interior and exposing the Imperial throne room.
In the room there was the red throne Kilegros saw in his vision, but instead of the Son on the throne, all he saw was the jet black body of a dying and miserable man. His breath chattering his open ribcage as his body was hooked up to many horrifying devices that forced him to breathe, the devices looming over his brittle, limp body like demons whispering their evil desires into his ears. Where the Emperor’s eyes would have been only rested a thick plate of silver steel that clashed with his golden demeanor depicted in nearly any artwork or image of the throne room, blinking red lights lining the steel that stared at the group like holographic eyes. Standing on both sides of his throne stood two silver guards like the woman Kilegros and Fictillis had fought before, but they were different, their bodies unflinching or moving, even to the hostile presence of the group. In front of the throne was the Son, bowing before his father respectfully and seemed to be in some sort of meditative trance.
The body of the Emperor moved after a few seconds, lifting his hand slowly and pointing at the group with a twisted and boney finger.
“Yes father, I will take care of them.” The Son whispered under his breath before he stood up slowly, turning to face the group.
The Son was no longer dressed in his parade uniform, instead dawning strictly golden armour, light as it was beautiful, angled and tight to his flesh. The suit was perfectly crafted to pair with his fighting style, which both Fictillis and Kilegros had recently seen. The two Eonvym of the group stepped forward, ready to fight while Tobias and Ahri held back for a moment.
“You two, try and disable those devices. I think this reign is at its end.” Kilegros whispered to Tobias and Ahri while keeping his eyes on the Son unaware of the silver guard in the shadows of the door behind them. ‘I’ll give Death an extra gift of the Emperor’s soul as well.’
“Don’t you dare touch the Emperor. Your worthless hands aren’t worth his attention.” The Son spat harshly as the two golden swords flowed out of his palms while an aura of dull fright began to fill the room.
Kilegros, Fictillis, and Ahri seemed to each be slightly affected by the change of emotions but their determination helped them stay grounded, even if weakened. Tobias seemed unfazed due to a lack of a normal soul while the guard at the back of the room took a step forward, revealing herself in the light to show the group they were surrounded. Kilegros side eyed the guard, watching her for a moment as a static sound began to build up in the room.
Immediately, he vanished from sight, appearing behind the guard and summoning his spear of ice, swiping her feet out from under her as he took her by surprise. Fictillis charged at the Son, holding Kilegros’ sword out as he tried to make another sword in his hand but only sparks came out of his palm. The Son gave a pity laugh to Fictillis as he jerked forward, teleporting in front of him and kicking him back with his golden foot into the wall as Ahri and Tobias quickly ran to the Emperor, looking for any way to unplug his machinery as they moved alongside the walls to avoid the fight. Kilegros grabbed his spear with two hands and shoved it down at the guard, only for her to roll out of the way and summon a pillar of ice in front of Kilegros, his blade bouncing off as he recoiled back from the parrying blow. She jumped up and wrapped her scythe blade around his spear and ripped it from his hands before punching the pillar of ice, it exploding into little crystal shards into Kilegros’ torso, drops of crimson blood forming on his body.
Fictillis landed with his back against the wall and groaned in pain as he watched the Son levitate and move closer to him.
“Come here.” Fictillis spat while starting to run at the Son again, steam rising off his body as he felt his hand grow white hot in rage.
Fictillis let out a howl of fury as he got to the Son, jumping at him and punching him hard in the chest, the Son not moving as his body loomed over Fictillis’ although his feet were touching the ground now.
“That’s cute.” The Son smirked under his mask while he lifted his palm up, Tobias rising off the ground and flicked his wrist forward, the machine shooting across the room and into Fictillis to move him out of his way.
Ahri tried to reach out for Tobias but couldn’t grab him in time before he flew off, resorting to cussing quietly under her breath as she reached the Emperor and searched around his throne, the First Eonvym far too sickly and broken from age to fight back.
Kilegros teleported next to the guard and grabbed her neck, throwing her down to the ground before jumping down on top of her and grabbing both sides of her head, intending to force electricity into her brain and pop her head open like a grape being stepped on. To his surprise, he found he couldn’t electrocute her, rather he seemed to have unwillingly shot some sort of magic into her brain. She screamed out in terror and pain under him while her body spasmed uncontrollably, her hands reaching to grasp at his own.
Kilegros slowly got off her, confused by what was going on before he looked up and was met with the clawed fingers of the Son through his chest, the golden digits wiggling around in his lungs and heart painfully.
“Don’t ever touch her again, maggot.” The Son pulled Kilegros close and growled into his ear before swiping his arm away, throwing Kilegros across the room and against Tobias, who had just gotten up, slamming him back down and spilling blood across his metal frame.
The Son, while Kilegros was quickly bleeding out, reached down to his lover and checked her pulse along her neck. Upon finding her healthy, he let out a sigh of relief and stood back up straight, turning around to see Tobias standing over Kilegros and shooting the Eonvym in the head with his arm-rifle.
“Now that you’ve all gotten that out of your system, I am going to give you all a choice,” The Son spoke bitterly while clenching his fist together, Ahri finding her limbs restrained from the Emperor’s throne. “You can either surrender yourself now and become my slaves, or I will kill you slowly, ripping your atoms apart individually so that you may feel a fraction of the disturbance you’ve caused me!” His voice ended in a roar of anger.
“Fuck. . you.” Fictillis spat while standing up from the ground, seeing the guard slowly get up from the ground behind the Son, the woman shaking her head and gripping it.
The Son scoffed while his lover looked up at him, having been shown the vision Kilegros had seen just before the crew arrived at the palace. She staggered forward and put her hands on his shoulders, the Son looking back and smiling a little under his golden mask.
“Noxia, my love, are you-?” The Son was cut off, making a grunt of surprise as she summoned a small dagger of ice and jabbed it through his armour and into his side, the ice piercing through his ribs and puncturing one of his lungs while the guard stared deeply into his flickering holographic eyes.
“For our people’s sake.” She whispered into his ear as the Son staggered back and watched golden blood pour out of his wound and down his side, her hand holding the golden stained dagger.
“Why?” The Son asked calmly as he looked back up at her, not angry, only saddened by the betrayal, his chest slowly beginning to heave as he fought for air, his mind quickly reminded of the simple mortality of his body.
Fictillis began to howl with laughter behind the Son, finding the situation hilarious as Kilegros was revived and he rose from the ground. The Son, upon hearing Fictillis’ laughter, helt rage again and spun around, holding his hand out to Fictillis and pulling him close quickly, the Eonvym’s body roughly grabbed from afar.
The world grew slow for Kilegros as he reacted without any thought, teleporting forward and swiping his sword off the ground that Fictillis had dropped. He teleported again, even closer now as he threw himself at the Son, shoving Fictillis out of the way and slamming his blade through the Son’s chest and heart, the blade sinking through the powerful Eonvym with a sharp slick.
The two Eonvym stared at each other, Kilegros’ blade embedded deep into the Son as a long golden blade also dripped with his blood. Kilegros began to twist his sword inside the Son, getting a groan of pain in return as the two were both faced with the apparent result of their actions.
“Now, I’ve reminded the Emperor.” Kilegros groaned softly in pain and gripped the Son’s shoulder, pulling off his golden blade, his red blood spraying across the Son’s suit and ground.
The word began to dim and illuminate rapidly around Kilegros as he saw the Son collapse as well, the guard running to his side as his friends ran to his own. Gold and red blood mixed below him as he noticed that he could feel no heartbeat any more. He looked over to the Emperor, still sitting broken on his throne and a sliver of hate filled him again, enough to summon a small dagger of ice before his chest and shoot it into the weak man’s chest. Just as he dealt the fatal blow to the Emperor, his knees gave out below him and he collapsed to the ground, his body dying once more. But this death was different: it felt real.
“Kilegros!” Fictillis shot to his knees and looked over his friend, also detecting something wrong as his metal hands slid under his body to hold him up.
“I think I messed up. . .” Kilegros bit his tongue and reached up, putting his hand on Fictillis’ shoulder, his visor becoming clear to show the true fright in his eyes as his hand fell, leaving a golden handprint.
“Shit shit shit, Kilegros come on! You’ll be alright but we must go now!” Ahri ran over to them, looking down at the thin crimson wound in his chest while holding Kilegros’ sword to use against advancing Shaikyn guards.
“Pick him up, we need to leave now!” Tobias yelled out to Fictillis; his voice was also full of worry with a mix of wonder.
The guard who had betrayed the Son yelled out something to them, but Kilegros couldn’t hear it as Fictillis held his body up tightly to his chest and began to run. Kilegros hung his head back and watched the golden halls pass by, thin ripples of bullet trails passing by his face while he reflected on the adventure. He looked up at Fictillis and tried to reach up, not having enough strength as his hand fell onto his wound, splattering more blood onto Fictillis. He tried to remember the face of his former love, wondering if Death would keep her promise and let him see her again. The world began to close and open in darkness around him as he was laid down on some starship outside of the palace. Fictillis looked over his body as his friend didn’t seem to react.
He wondered if his new friends would make it out of this place alive. He wondered where he would go next. If his parents were to be believed, from the little he could remember, he expected somewhere good.
“Kilegros! Kilegros come on man!” Fictillis' muffled voice entered his mind as his helmet was taken off his head, the world a deep grey as his hair fell out along his forehead and ears.
His eyes had gone a dark grey as Fictillis forced Kilegros’ chin up to look at his group of friends while the doors to the ship closed behind them. Ahri tossed the sword to the ground and ran out of view, assumingly to the pilot's seat while Tobias took a few potshots at the guards on the docks. He tried to focus on their faces but could not as their cries and pleading grew increasingly muffled until they were silent. Fictillis kept shaking his body, silently pleading for him to wake up but Kilegros could only watch, his limbs numb as his body slumped down against the wall of the ship, his head slowly lowering to the grey sight of blood flowing down his suit, staining the ground below.
Then all was black.
