will 1" canvas thickness fit an antique frame?

If this better fits a more niche subreddit or something, then i'm happy to oblige.

to start off: what thickness canvas is most likely to fit an antique frame? is 1" too much?

The size of the artwork (yet to paint) will be on 9X12" canvas, but when I'm researching all the art shops i know, the only pre-stretched, artist quality canvases i can find in this size/ratio are at least 1" thick.
