I (20f) have been in a situationship with a guy (22 m) for almost five months, but I honestly don’t understand him. He is not a texting person and often ignores my messages for one or two days, but when I call him, he talks continuously for one or two hours. He clearly says that he is a moody person — if he feels like talking, he will talk, otherwise he will ignore me. This behaviour confuses and hurts me because sometimes he talks sweetly, flirts, and behaves in a very caring and loving way, like he genuinely has feelings for me. But then suddenly he disappears for two or three days and becomes distant. Whenever I tell him that this hurts me, he simply says, “That’s how I am,” and during arguments, he lets his ego win instead of understanding my feelings. Later, he apologizes, but the same pattern keeps repeating.

Recently, he kept insisting that I give him my Snapchat password. I gave it, but he also demanded the password for “My Eyes Only.” I refused because I believe privacy is important, even though I don’t have anything wrong there. We argued for almost two days about this. He kept saying that if I have nothing to hide, I should give it to him, which made me uncomfortable because trust should not require giving up personal boundaries.

During the argument, I asked him what is more important to him — love or body — and his immediate answer was “body,” which hurt me deeply. The next day, I tried to calmly explain that I don’t like how he behaves like a caring boyfriend when he wants attention, but then ignores me for days, doesn’t reply to my texts, and doesn’t prioritize me. Still, he expects me to stay loyal and understanding like a girlfriend.

Since yesterday, he has been sending rude Instagram reels that indirectly insult my character, looks, and worth. I felt very disrespected and hurt. I replied to him and even tried calling, but for almost 20 hours he hasn’t responded.

After my breakup two years ago, I didn’t let anyone come close to me because my first heartbreak was very painful. In the beginning, he seemed like the kind of partner I had always imagined, but now his behaviour is crossing boundaries, hurting me emotionally, and leaving me confuse about what to do.

( As you can see in this screenshot, I told him about those reels yesterday, but he only saw my message 5 minutes ago today.)
