If you could live anywhere in Canada… where would it be and why?
I’ve lived on the east coast in Halifax, Nova Scotia and west coast in Victoria, British Columbia. I can appreciate things from each places although I’m looking for somewhere to move, and hopefully stay… for maybe ever.
Things to consider:
- I don’t want kids so, anything pertaining to them is not relevant.
- I’m in my early 30s.
- I understand any city will have traffic but, the lack of infrastructure and traffic in Victoria, BC is unbearable.
- I do love the island but, the ferry can be pretty limiting so, I’m leaning towards the mainland.
- being near an airport, hospital, etc. is very important (within 30min-1hr ideally).
- a body of water (ideally ocean, although very large lake is ok) is an absolute requirement
- the more mild the winter, the better!
- a mix between city and nature, I need access to hiking trails but also things to do.
Please, tell me your recommendations, experiences and even places to never consider!
Much appreciated fellow Canadians ❤️🔥
