Can I just hang heavy paintings with nails or do I need claw hangers?

Basically got a Gyprock wall and a few larger paintings (160cm x 80cm). Would two nails just be fine or do I need better preparations like the “3M Claw Heavyweight Hanging Solution 20kg” from office works?
