What do you think are the perspectives?
My sweet grumpy girl has been diagnosed of terminal lung cancer (lots of little speckles in her lungs, not a big mass) after almost a year battling with mammary cancer.
She’s 13 years old and has always been very food oriented and very easily overstimulated from petting. Except when she wants to be cuddled she dislikes being petted and bites when she doesn’t want to.
On Saturday she was very lethargic and had trouble breathing. She had liquid in her lungs, so the took emptied her and gave her some diuretics and cortisone to make her feel relieved.
These days, she is quite better, she breathes ok, but maybe she’s like at 50-60% personality. She doesn’t move much and sleeps a lot, she also eats little and doesn’t bite anymore, but she’s still quite cuddly, sunbathes and so on.
The vet told us to give meds an opportunity and decide tomorrow (Wednesday) whether we want to put her down or not. How does everything I’m saying feel to you? Do you think she can last up to next Tuesday when the vet reopens or we might have troubles between Friday and Monday when everything is closed because of holidays?
