Looking for Life Science Master’s in Germany with strong lab training and long thesis (Cancer Biology / Drug Discovery / Ecology) – Summer Intake 2027

Hi everyone,

Me and my friend are planning to apply for a Master’s program in Germany for the summer intake.

I completed my BSc in Zoology & M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, and my friend completed BSc and MSc in Molecular Biology. However, we didn’t have a formal master’s thesis, only a 2.5-month summer internship and no other work experience.

So we are planning to pursue a second Master’s degree to gain more practical exposure, especially programs that include extensive lab work, internships, and ideally a long thesis (around 1 year) to prepare ourselves for a PhD in the future.

We are particularly interested in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Drug Discovery, or Ecology, preferably programs with less theory and more hands-on research training.

Could anyone suggest universities or programs in Germany that fit this profile?
