Is trading a scam these days?
Nowadays:
- market is saturated
- live market data is available to the public
- large exchanges run bots to keep market alive, like crypto for example
Almost always you will lose money.
If not recently, then eventually you will lose from huge fluctuations.
If you play short term also, you will be underwater.
You do backtesting, you use various technical analysis.
You get maybe can get high winrate if you lower your stop loss, but at the same time lower your winrate when you have a tighter stop loss.
You do the maths and simulation, almost always come out in a negative result in long term, and a waste of time and you lose your time and money in the end.
Daily trading doesnt work, too much manipulation.
Maybe investing is the only way to go.
For the hundreth time, I blew my crypto acc.
But you know, I think even if I start from scratch on stocks maybe put in few hundred (i.e 500) per month.
In another 20years that is abt 100k, but with some compounding, I might reach 200k..
Still not enough to retire by 50.
Are we fucked?
