Big loss of motivation in the hobby

Other: [Topic]

Hi, I’m not really sure how often (or not) these kinds of posts are made, but i thought why not asking.

I was a huge huge fan of astronomy and astrophotography around 2 and a half years ago. I would always read books, watch YouTube videos and even considered double majoring in astronomy. And in general all sciences and physics were super interesting for me. But since I left high school (to go to college and pursue a classical music career), I’ve literally stopped caring about it. Of course I’ll still go like a tiktok that talks about anything remotely similar, but I’ve completely stopped taking Astrophotos, stopped being intrigued by it.

And I noticed that my level of constant joy and satisfaction in life has also began to fade. Like I’m super focused on my studies, and I’m doing really great and I’m really proud and happy of what I’ve accomplished so far, but I miss the balance of science and music. Of course I wouldn’t want to quit my music career, but I also can’t take on a double major since I’m kinda math stupid. I felt like in high school, since there was a good balance of off subjects, I had no pressure to actually perform amazingly good in one of them and I could genuinely be curious.

But now all I can think about is my music career and how I need to be better and all these types of things. And I was wondering if maybe anyone else has gone through the same process? How would you get back into it?
