I found a way to keep your rating when leaving a match.

For example: If you don't like a certain Knockout or VS. Race map online, you put your console to sleep mode IN the loading screen. It won't work when the race is counting down.

It'll then time you out because the game thinks you were wrongfully disconnected, compensating to keep your rate afterwards.
