Is it Cope for me to blame the matchmaking for me being bad at the game ?

Discussion

So the last time I played TF2, the regular version of TF2 at least, I had an admittedly really bad losing streak. I don't know the exact number but a rough estimate would be around 10-20 losses, which yeah I know is really bad.

Now I'm going to admit I've always been a pretty mediocre player. I wouldn't say I'm the best by any means, but I remember just being frustrated playing that day, because we'll I did really badly and there were games where I was awfully close but I just didn't take it. For the most part though most of my matches were just absolute slaughters, as in absolute pubstomps and no time to breath whatsoever.

Now here is the thing, now the reason why I mentioned the matchmaking was well...notice how I said "the regular version of TF2" during the first paragraph....that's because I mostly play TF2Classified nowadays, and I do way better in this version game for some reason. As in while I would be bottom 5 in the leaderboard in Vanilla, in TF2C there would be games where I would Top Score, like it's fricking absurd.

Its come to the point that I feel like TF2C made me worst at Live, but that's a story for another day.

Now here is the thing to note which makes me blame the matchmaking. To put it simply TF2C doesn't have matchmaking, it uses the old system of team scramble and other tools to help balance out the game. Now because of this I feel like I am able to strive better in that environment rather than the current matchmaking we have right now.

I'm honestly conflicted about this conclusion because maybe I'm just bad at the game, and I'm just blaming the system on my lack of skill even though the reality is Im the problem....so I don't really know if the system is the problem or I'm the problem.

So what do you guys think?
