Lilith Marlow: Sloppy writing or AI?

Discussion

Stumbled across Empress of the Undead a while back and was like "oh neat, female protagonist and necromancy, love that shit." Read some books, they weren't great but I just chalked that up to being amateur works.

Then I saw she wrote a book either in a completely separate series or a prequel, Sovereign of the Undead, shortly after dropping the fifth book of EotU. Okay, weird, but I've known authors to simultaneously work on multiple series before the GenAI boom. A really passion amateur then.

I don't think it's been a month and Sovereign as a second book out. Decided to check the first book of Empress, and that shit came out in November last year.

Seven books in four months seems *extremely* unlikely to be something an actual human could or would do. Especially in this genre.

So yeah, any thoughts on this? Anyone else check these books out? I've been completely avoiding all this AI stuff so maybe there was something else extremely obvious that I missed.
