Looking for a reliable Replit alternative

Question / Discussion

I’m looking for a solid alternative to Replit.

The agent experience has been frustrating. It often ignores instructions, runs unnecessary checkpoints (which cost money), and keeps trying to “fix” things even when it’s clearly not working, racking up charges without actually solving the problem.

Even without the agent, the assistant tends to get stuck in loops, fixing something one way, breaking it again, then reverting, without making real progress. Support responses haven’t been helpful either, just generic replies with no follow up.

Ideally, I want a subscription-based generative AI coding tool that’s reliable, predictable, and doesn’t feel like it’s working against me.
