Brake calibration goes "binary" when you get into the car

Question/Help

Very recently, the brake calibration on some, but not all cars I try to drive/race is somehow getting corrupted, resulting in the brake becoming an on/off switch with any input that exceeds my couple percent dead zone instantly spiking the brake pressure to 100%. Might be cars I hadn't driven since before the UI update that have taken on this new behavior.

I notice that the lightest press on the brake locks the fronts solid, calibrate the pedals, everything looks fine, but when I get back into one of the cars doing it next time whether immediately after calibration or in another session entirely. I've hunted for potentially conflicting secondary key/control binds to no avail. The pedal specific config/control panel shows normal pedal operation, as does the brake's joystick axis in Windows control panel for gaming devices, so it appears to be happening inside of iracing as opposed to any kind of garbage values being passed to it from the pedals.

I haven't tried any full default resets of controls or more anything more drastic than going in circles calibrating and finding out the brakes are still hosed and going through the key binds and control options go look for what the root cause of the problem might be. I figured it was worth asking about here in case it's something someone else has encountered and maybe knows what's causing it.

I find myself at a loss on how to best search for these symptoms, or I would have gone that route before asking here.

Any ideas on how to chase down the gremlin(s) appreciated. 🤷🏻‍♂️
