Tongue tie/lip tie

My baby of 34+5 weeks is 4 months now.He was diagnosed with a tongue tie at 1 month old because he wasn’t sucking well. Now at 4 months, he’s doing much better. We were advised to get him checked again after 3 months. At the time of diagnosis, lip tie wasn’t mentioned as he was considered too small to assess it properly. I wanted to ask — has anyone else had a similar experience? When was your baby diagnosed, and did things improve over time or require any treatment later on? I am doubting that since he was a preemie, the sucking was probably because of that and not tongue tie. Would really appreciate hearing your experiences.
