My dad picks fights with me and insists I apologize after
I (23 F) am visiting my family during spring break, and my dad turned a small disagreement into a serious argument.
Two of my favorite women MMA fighters are making a comeback. I’m excited because I looked up to both of them growing up (I trained in MMA and followed the UFC for many years).
My dad insisted that one of them sucks and the other is great, which is interesting because I think the two fighters genuinely respect each other. I just disagreed and said that they’re both good in different disciplines and that they are both accomplished.
He then told me that I don’t know anything and that I was too young to follow either of their careers. He fact checked himself and ended up proving himself wrong. I didn’t say anything after that.
10 minutes later he snaps at me and said to never do “that again.” He said I was disrespectful and should apologize…
