Suns Rotation
I watched the game well after most of you as I record every game and watch them when I get my 2 hours at the end of the evening. But here's what I saw:
Book and Green works. BUT against an overly aggressive playoff team, which dont get it twisted Orlando is just that, we need spacing + dawgs. Oso did alright tonight, but him being our biggest player for 85% of the game is a tough matchup. How do you combat that? Add some extra size next to him. Did Ott do that? Nope. Not even close.
When we face bigger, longer, more athletic type teams.. Royce and Grayson are not allowed on the floor together. IF either one of them are on the floor, then we need at least one of Book, Green, Goodwin, Collin, but no more than 1 of those guys, and Dunn + Rasheer absolutely HAVE to be on the floor together combine if Royce or Allen are on the floor.
Ott watched Oso, Dunn, Fleming dominate a game our starters had trouble with, so much so that Book didnt play the 4th, only for Ott to NOT use that scheme against a team it would match up well with. I just dont understand it.
Our top 10 should be if fully healthy:
Book, Green, Brooks, Fleming, Williams
Collin, Goodwin, Dunn, Oso, ManMan
Royce and Grayson can be used to supplement either lineup depending on what we need. Utility guys that can immediately contribute. And should both get plenty of minutes. But those 10 I listed above HAVE to play in some combination with each other for multiple minutes every night. Maybe im moving too far ahead, im assuming next season will look more like what I laid out with only one of royce or Grayson supplementing, but its time to make that decision and play the guys that win games. Tonight's coaching made me sick with how many misses on rotational gameplan we had to witness
