Working with your partner. How did it go?

What has been your experience working with a partner? Specifically starting a business?

We are working a wellness supplement company. And I find my patience with him is way thinner than a traditional co worker lol.

He is a lawyer so his brain thinks differently than my marketing brain. I find it very hard being patient with what feels like spending a lot of time educating him on marketing 101 fundamentals. He is eager to “drive sales” out of the gate, makes what I conclude as broad assumptions about customers, and has so far been putting out generic ads to just “get our name out there” whereas I am advising him to having intentional, targeted messaging.

Anyway, prob too many details. But I am just having a hard time with our professional dynamic and just want some validation that other people perhaps do this too when working with an SO LOL.

Or please tell me I need to be nicer. I am open to feedback!
